Q: What is the process to Switch to your company?
It’s very simple! Once you have been approved with us and you’re up and running, you will then call your old company and cancel with them. It’s that easy!
Q: What is a merchant account?
A merchant account is a type of bank account that allows businesses to accept payments from their customers using debit and credit cards. A merchant account is setup to automatically deposit credit card transactions into your checking account, and by accepting credit cards from your customers, it will also increase your sales.
Q: How much does it cost to have a merchant account?

Q: How do I apply and get approved for a merchant account?
Call one of our friendly staff at Omega at 1-800-333-6237. We will fill out free, no obligation application with you that takes 5 minutes. There is no cost to apply for a merchant account. We have no long-term contracts. We are month-to-month.
When you receive it, you will sign where indicated, and fax or email it back to us with a voided check. We will then submit your application for approval that will take 1 business day. We will immediately inform you of your approval and then we will ship your equipment or software to you or reprogram your existing equipment over the phone.
Q: How long does the approval process take?
The approval process is fast. It normally takes 1 business day to get your merchant account approved. Your equipment and/or software can be set-up the following business day. Once you receive your equipment, all you have to do is plug it in and now you’re ready to accept credit cards! It’s that easy!
Q: Do I have to have good credit to get a merchant account?

Q: How do I get my money?

Q: Can I use my savings account for deposits?
You cannot use a savings account; strictly a checking account only.
Q: Do you have a long-term contract?

Q: Can I accept checks?
Yes! We have programs that will give you the ability to accept checks in a retail environment.

Q: I already have a credit card machine. Can I use it with your service?

Q: What do I need to do when I receive the equipment and how do I get training?
You won’t need to do a thing, except for hook it up, unless we are re-programming your equipment over the phone. We ship you your equipment already programmed so that you can start using it as soon as you receive it! As for training, you will have live, toll-free technical support assistance available to you 24/7 at NO CHARGE!

A gateway is the service that connects the merchant’s website with his or her processor for transmitting data.
Q: What is a shopping cart?
A shopping cart is a software application is incorporated into your website to collect and record purchasing info by a visitor.
Q: What is a batch?
A batch is a collection of captured transactions that have not yet been settled. Merchants will need to settle their batch at the end of every business day.
Q: What is PCI?
PCI (payment card industry) refers to a data security standard that Visa and Mastercard established in order to create common industry security requirements.
