The First Data FD55 terminal is the latest and greatest of the First Data line of credit card machines. It replaces the older FD50 and FD50TI terminals that are discontinued. The FD55 terminal has the same easy to use screen and works the same way as the other First Data machines. However, this new terminal that is manufactured by Verifone has an even faster modem and is capable of communicating via dial up or via the internet (TCP/IP). The drop in paper loading is also a big hit as there is nothing to feed. Simply open the top, drop in the paper, and start accepting payments from your customers.
